Nico Nusmeier has a Master of Science in Econometrics from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and in Strategy and Leadership from London Business School. He launched his career in 1985 as a management trainee at Heineken, with spells in the Netherlands, Germany and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 1988, he became packaging manager at Zoeterwoude in the Netherlands, Europe's largest brewery. Between 1990 and 1996, Nusmeier held a number of different management positions within the Heineken Group in Italy and the Bahamas. In 1996, he was appointed director of Heineken Global Procurement, and he returned to Heineken's Zoeterwoude brewery as operations manager from 1997 to 2001. After a period as president of Grupa Zywiec S.A. in Warsaw, he assumed responsibility for the Central and Eastern European markets as president of Heineken Central and Eastern Europe from 2005 to 2012 and was also a member of Heineken's executive committee. From 2013, he served as CEO of Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company in Dubai. From 2014 onwards, Nusmeier made his extensive expertise in the beverages sector available to the Schörghuber Group as a member of the foundation board. In 2016, he was named CEO of Can-Pack S.A. in Krakow, Poland. He has been chairman of the executive board of the Schörghuber Corporate Group since 1 July 2019.
